RAC represented on European waste reduction Focus Group

David Williams has been selected to be the UK’s member of the European Commissions Agricultural Innovation Partnership (EIP-AGRI) focus group to reduce food waste on farms.

The aim of EIP-Agri is to combine the expertise of people from different areas of Europe and from a wide range of backgrounds including farmers, advisers, researchers, agri-businesses and NGO’s to share ideas and produce solutions to issues within agriculture and the food chain.

The first aim of the food waste group is to look into ways of reducing wastage of fruits and vegetables and its first meeting will be held in mid-September 2018.
